Cookie Policy

BoatPost keeps cookies to a minimum: what is needed to sign you in, and — only if you agree — anonymous product analytics.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of data a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work; others help us understand how it is used. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page.
2. Cookies we use
Essential — sign-in session: keeps you signed in to your BoatPost account. Without it, the dashboard and account screens cannot work. This cookie is always set when you sign in, because the service cannot function without it.
Essential — cookie consent: remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again on every visit.
Analytics (only with your consent): a first-party analytics script sets cookies that tell us which pages and features are used, so we can improve the product. These cookies are set only if you choose "Accept all", and are not set at all until you do.
3. Your choice
On your first visit we ask with a banner: "Accept all" turns analytics on; "Essential only" keeps analytics off. Nothing beyond essential cookies is set before you choose.
You can change your mind at any time — open Cookie settings from the footer, or clear your browser storage for this site and you will be asked again.
4. Third-party pages
Payments happen on Stripe's hosted checkout, which has its own cookie and privacy practices described in Stripe's documentation. We do not control cookies on that page.
