Privacy Policy

Last updated October 18, 2026

This policy explains what BoatPost collects, why, who it is shared with and what you can do about it. It is a working draft pending review by our counsel — if anything here is unclear, that is ours to fix: tell us.

1. Summary

We collect the minimum information needed to run BoatPost: your account identity, the Broker Profile you fill in, the boat details and drafts you save, and payment status. We do not sell your data, we do not send marketing to your clients on your behalf, and generated drafts are yours.

BoatPost is operated by North Star Atlas LLC, doing business as BoatPost ("we", "us").

2. Information we collect

Account information: your name and email address, provided by the sign-in provider when you first create your BoatPost account. We use your email for service messages about your account and subscription.

Broker Profile: the professional details you choose to enter — your name as you want it to appear, your brokerage, the water you sell on, the boats you sell, the clients you serve and your preferred tone. This is used to write drafts in your voice.

Content you enter and generate: the boat and context details you fill in for each piece, and the drafts generated from them, which you can save in My Content.

Payment information: purchases and subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and payment history (plan, dates, amount) but never your full card number. Stripe handles your card data under its own privacy policy.

Usage and analytics: with your consent (see our Cookie Policy), we collect simple analytics about how the Service is used — which pages and features are used — to improve the product.

3. How we use information

To operate the Service: generate and store your drafts, apply your Broker Profile, meter your Generations and manage your plan.

To bill you: process subscriptions and top-ups through Stripe and keep payment history.

To support you: answer email you send us, and notify you about your account (renewals, receipts, service changes).

To improve the Service: understand aggregate usage so we know what to build and fix.

We do not use your content to train third-party AI models, and we do not sell or rent your personal information.

4. Who we share with

We run on trusted providers, and only where necessary: the NanoCorp platform (hosting, sign-in, email delivery and payments infrastructure), Anthropic (processes the text of your request to generate a draft, under a data agreement that does not use it for model training), and Stripe (payments).

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of BoatPost, our users or the public.

5. Retention and deletion

Your profile, drafts and account information are kept while your account is open. Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.

You can request deletion of your account, profile and drafts at any time by emailing boat-post@nanocorp.app. We will confirm and delete within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.

6. Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your Broker Profile at any time in Settings, and delete saved drafts in My Content.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Email us and we will help you exercise them.

California residents: we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA/CPRA.

7. Security

Access to your account is through the platform sign-in; we do not store passwords. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on managed infrastructure with access restricted to what is needed to run the Service.

No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.

8. Children

BoatPost is a professional tool for brokers. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. The current version is always on this page with its "last updated" date.
